By far the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever made, these cookies also freeze well. The dough can also be frozen – you can have freshly baked cookies without the mess of making the dough!

Ingredients
- 2½ cups shortening
- 3¾ cups brown sugar
- ⅓ cup milk
- 3 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. vanilla
- 5½ cups flour
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 3 cups chocolate chips
Directions
Using a stand mixer, cream shortening and brown sugar. Add milk, eggs, and vanilla; mix until well blended. Add flour, salt and baking soda; mix well. By hand, stir in chocolate chips.
Drop mixture by rounded spoonfuls 2 inches apart onto baking sheets. Bake for 8-10 minutes at 325⁰F, or until lightly golden brown.
