Sauteed Turnip Greens

This recipe combines the sweet flavor of salad turnips and savory pork sausage for a quick breakfast. For an added touch, you can top each serving with a fried egg.


  • 8 salad turnips with greens
  • 1 lb. pork sausage
  • eggs, optional


Remove turnip greens, clean, and roughly chop. Chop turnips into chunks or slices.

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook pork sausage, breaking into chunks, until no longer pink. Add chopped turnips and continue cooking until they soften slightly. Stir in turnip greens until wilted.

If desired, top each serving with a fried egg.
