Fresh Local Vegetables
Our produce is homegrown on our family farm near South Haven, picked at the peak of ripeness, and is available in season, directly to our customers.
Do you know how your vegetables are grown?
The small family farms in our communities have all but disappeared. The produce in the local grocery store is brought from all over the country and even the world. The result: many people don’t know their local farmer, and have become disconnected from the rhythm of eating local seasonal vegetables from their own communities. At Hessey Farmstead, we believe that everyone should be able to know their farmer and know how the food on their tables was grown.

Meet Farmers Jason & Melissa
On our farm, we grow great-tasting vegetables, but we are about more than just fresh local produce. We want to reconnect you to the rhythm of eating according to the seasons. Our crops are picked at the peak of ripeness, making them more nutritious and better tasting. Spring peas with their distinct crunch, fresh tomatoes, only hours out of the field, and carrots so sweet we call them “candy carrots.” Come experience seasonal eating for yourself.
