Meet the hands growing your vegetables.

Meet Your Farmers
Hello! We are Jason and Melissa, and we’re thrilled to have relocated to a beautiful area just outside of Hartford, Michigan to embark on our farming journey. Returning to a rural setting feels like coming home for us, as we both grew up on farms. Jason has fond memories of his upbringing on a dairy farm, while Melissa’s family had a number of hobby farms throughout her childhood. Our children, Jaden and Hannah, who have been accustomed to city life, are experiencing the joys of country living for the first time.

Why we started our farm…
At our farm, we’re on a mission to change the way people think about food. In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to forget where our food comes from and the people who work hard to grow it. We believe that everyone should have a deeper connection to the story behind their food, and that starts with knowing your farmer.
Many Americans today are disconnected from the source of their food. Basic cooking skills are being lost, and families are eating fewer meals together. Processed foods have become a staple in our diets, and many children can’t even identify basic vegetables. At our farm, we’re committed to changing that by providing fresh, locally grown produce that’s bursting with flavor and nutrition. We’re dedicated to helping you rediscover the joy of cooking and eating wholesome, delicious food.

Understanding the true value of your food
Growing food isn’t easy – it takes a tremendous amount of effort and expertise to cultivate healthy, flavorful crops. At our farm, we understand the many factors involved in producing great-tasting fruits and vegetables. We work tirelessly to build and manage soil health, protect water quality, and handle the many challenges of farming, including unpredictable weather, pests, and disease.
Because most Americans are so far removed from the story of agriculture, many are completely unaware of the incredible energy and dedication required to bring fresh, locally grown produce to market. For most people, a tomato is just another item on the grocery list – they have no idea of the time, effort, and expertise that goes into producing that perfect, juicy fruit. By sharing our knowledge and experience, we hope to inspire more people to appreciate the story behind their food and support local agriculture.

It feels different when you know the story behind your food.
At our farm, we’re passionate about connecting our customers with the people and stories behind their food. We believe that when you know the farmers growing your produce, you gain a deeper appreciation for the hard work and dedication that goes into each and every crop.
One of the biggest benefits of getting to know your farmers is the impact it can have on your children’s health and happiness. When kids are exposed to a wide variety of fresh, locally grown produce, they develop a taste for healthy foods that can last a lifetime. Plus, cooking with your farmer’s bounty can be a fun and rewarding way to bond with your family and teach your children valuable life skills.
Our mission is to help you reconnect with the story and people behind your food, so that you too can experience the power of locally sourced, sustainably grown produce. Whether you’re a seasoned foodie or just starting to explore the joys of fresh, wholesome ingredients, we invite you to join us on this journey of discovery and appreciation.
