Frequently Asked Questions
Are your vegetables organic?
We are not certified organic, but we follow sustainable practices similar to organic standards. All crops are grown without synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides. We use organic or non-GMO seeds whenever possible. We are also working toward Certified Naturally Grown (CNG) certification, which will formally recognize our sustainable, trustworthy farming practices.
When does the season start?
The 2026 season begins Thursday, May 14 with home delivery, Friday, May 15 at our farm stand, and Saturday, May 16 at the South Haven Farmers Market. Your Farm Membership can be used at any of these locations.
How does a Farm Membership work?
With a Farm Membership, you prepay for store credit and use it to shop in our online store. You can choose a curated Farmer’s Choice box or personalize your order with the vegetables you want each week. You can join at any time and reload your account throughout the season. Store credit can also be used for purchases at our farm stand or farmers markets.
Do I have to pick up my order?
Nope! Delivery to your door is available for zip codes 49453 (Saugatuck), 49406 (Douglas), and 49090 (South Haven). You can also choose farm stand pickup at our Hartford farm on Fridays from 5–7 PM. All orders — delivery or pickup — must be placed by Monday at noon.
How will I know what’s available each week?
Farm Members automatically receive our weekly store email every Monday morning, listing all fresh produce available that week. This helps you plan your order before the Monday noon deadline.
How do I pay for my Farm Membership?
You can pay for your Farm Membership with a credit card or by check. We prefer checks because they help us avoid credit card processing fees, but either method works. Your store credit is then available to use anytime in our online store, farm stand, or at farmers markets.
How do I store or cook my vegetables?
Each week, our email includes storage tips, recipes, and ideas for using your vegetables. Our goal is to make it easy for you to enjoy fresh, seasonal produce without stress or waste.
