Turkey Crescent Roll Wreath

Turkey Crescent Roll Wreath

We love to use leftovers in unique ways…this recipe usually makes an appearance on our table sometime during Thanksgiving weekend. Something a little different than simply reheating leftovers from your big meal! It also works great with leftover chicken.

Ingredients

  • 2 tubes crescent rolls
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • ½ cup broth (vegetable, chicken, or turkey)
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1½ cups leftover turkey, chopped
  • 1 cup mixed cooked vegetables
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (your choice)

Directions

Preheat oven to 375⁰F. Line a circle pizza pan with parchment paper. Arrange wide end of crescent rolls around pan, slightly overlapping edges.

In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and cook until translucent. Stir in flour and cook an additional minute. Add broth and milk, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth and thickened. Stir in leftover turkey, and vegetables. Spoon turkey and vegetable mixture over the wide end of the crescents. Top with cheese. Wrap ends of crescents over the filling and tuck underneath. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
